Organization Facts

  • The organization is non-denominational and runs primarily on donations made by the community

  • Donated funds are used to pay for food, paper products, payroll, utilities and rent, and building and equipment repairs

  • ​The Lord Is My Help feeds over 200 people per day

  • 60% of the meals prepared daily are delivered to elderly, ill, indigent, and disabled people in our area

  • ​The organization has only two paid employees and runs primarily on volunteers

  • ​The Lord Is My Help prepares and serves over 5,300 meals each month--impacting approximately 260 households each day
  • The soup kitchen served over 62,000 meals throughout the year of 2014

  • The organization distributed over 7,000 emergency grocery bags during the year of 2014

  • Approximately 35% of The Lord Is My Help patrons are children, 60% adults, and 5% elderly

  • It costs The Lord Is My Help approximately $2.16 to provide one meal

Services Offered

  • Hot nutritious meals are served in the dining room Monday - Friday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM

  • The food pantry prepares and distributes emergency groceries to need families in the area Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM 

  • Volunteers deliver over 150 meals per day, 5 days a week, to elderly, ill, and disabled individuals in the community
