Organization Facts


  • The organization is non-denominational and runs primarily on donations made by the community.

  • Donated funds are used to pay for food, paper products, payroll, utilities and rent, and building and equipment repairs.

  • ​The Lord Is My Help feeds over 150 people per day.

  • 70% of the meals prepared daily are delivered to elderly, ill, indigent, and disabled people in our area.

  • ​The organization has only two paid employees and runs primarily on volunteers.


  • ​The Lord Is My Help prepares and serves over 3,200 meals each month--impacting approximately 120 households each day.
  • The soup kitchen served over 38,000 meals throughout fiscal year ending in September 2021.

  • Approximately 24% of The Lord Is My Help patrons are children, 65% adults, and 11% elderly.

  • It costs The Lord Is My Help approximately $3.72 to provide one meal.

Services Offered


  • Hot nutritious meals are served in the dining room Monday - Friday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM

  • The food pantry prepares and distributes emergency groceries to need families in the area Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM 

  • Volunteers deliver over 100 meals per day, five days a week, to elderly, ill, homebound, and/or disabled individuals in the community
